Malaysia has experienced many years of economic and political stability. Even the major economic downturn in Asia in 1997 did not have the disastrous results for Malaysia which many people predicted. Malaysia’s economy continues to perform strongly with higher than anticipated growth at 5.8% in 2017, and projected growth of 5.3% for 2018 according to IMF. The country is well on its way to achieve high-income status. Its economic outlook is promising with many expats and foreign investors expressed their satisfaction in investing in Malaysia. Among the largest investors are the People’s Republic of China, Switzerland, Singapore, Netherlands, and Germany (56% of the Foreign Investment in 2017). It was reported in major media that Malaysia and Singapore are among the most political stable country in Asean.
